Better cross-border insurance and telemedicine services benefit HK people in Shenzhen

On June 1, Luohu Hospital Group and China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited signed an MOU on piloting Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border commercial insurance direct claims. On the same day, the Cross-border Telemedicine Centre officially opened at the Luohu District People's Hospital.
That means the residents of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area who hold Hong Kong medical commercial insurance can enjoy convenient direct claims services when they see a doctor in Luohu’s public hospitals. They don't have to pay medical expenses in advance by themselves. In addition, Hong Kong people in Shenzhen can receive one-to-one professional medical services from Hong Kong doctors via the Cross-border Telemedicine Centre, greatly reducing the cost of their medical treatment.
It is estimated that about 40,000 Hong Kong people work and live in Luohu.
