The Huangbei sub-district and the Luohu Center for Disease Control and Prevention cohosted a garden party and a public welfare flea market for Hong Kong children living in Shenzhen at the Wenhua neighborhood of Luohu on May 27. More than 300 children took part in the activity aiming to celebrate the International Children’s Day.
More than 1,000 children shuttle between their schools in Hong Kong and their homes in Shenzhen through the Wenjindu Port in Huangbei every school day.
According to the sub-district office, Huangbei will continue to serve as a bridge between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and improve its services for these children, so as to increase their ability to adapt to a dual-city lifestyle.
