Shenzhen held a ceremony on Jan. 29 to launch the first batch of key projects this year.
Among these projects, 13 are in Luohu district and require a total investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion), among which 1.08 billion yuan is planned to be invested this year.
Head of Luohu district Fan Defan pointed out that the district government is focusing on promoting high-quality development this year. It will concentrate on building Luohu into a key zone of Shenzhen while building the city into an international consumption center, a pioneer in fostering Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development and a demonstration zone for modern service industry concentration.
According to the district government, its GDP growth objective for this year is 6.5%.
