Luohu's reform praised as 'groundbreaking'
Luohu's "five-focus" reform, which aims to implement Shenzhen's comprehensive pilot reform plans, has been named one of the top 200 model cases of successful local reforms, according to the China Economic System Reform magazine.
The list, released by the magazine on Jan. 3, was selected from nearly 2,000 candidate cases of local governments, highlighting their efforts to explore reform paths in different fields last year.
The magazine noted that some of Luohu's reforms, such as serving the development of Hong Kong enterprises and talent, promoting the merging of industries, urban renovation and jewelry industries, were "groundbreaking" and the first of their kind in China.
In 2021, Luohu's pilot reform of the digital renminbi entered the list published by the magazine. The publication hopes the list can prompt more localities to learn from these successful reform cases.
