A shopping festival was launched in Luohu on Dec. 18.
The shopping festival will last until March 1, during which the district government will provide a total of 100 million yuan ($14 million) of subsidies to boost consumption in various fields, particularly auto sales.
The shopping festival will be held simultaneously in the five business zones of Luohu — Dongmen, Renmin South, Sungang, Caiwuwei and Shuibei.
At the same time, the Dongmen Pedestrian Street will be upgraded, with a focus on cultural tourism, new business models, brand recognition and shopping experiences.
