Reservoir and mountain proofs of Donghu’s ecological civilization
The Luohu New Media Center recently published dozens of photos showing the landscape of Luohu’s Donghu sub-district.
Donghu covers an area of 29.06 square kilometers, and about two-thirds of the sub-district consists of water surface and forests, with the latter’s area exceeding 800 hectares.
The Shenzhen Reservoir in Donghu, which covers an area of 4.06 square kilometers, holds 45 million cubic meters of freshwater. It is not only a major source of drinking water but also a tourist spot thanks to its picturesque landscape.
Another must-see site in Donghu is Wutong Mountain, an attraction for tourists as well as runners, hikers, and climbers.
The well-preserved ecology of the reservoir and the mountain speaks volumes about the tremendous work Donghu has done to advance the construction of an ecological civilization.
