Luohu shows utmost sincerity in attracting business
The 2022 Luohu Investment Promotion Conference kicked off on Nov. 24 in Luohu district, south China's Shenzhen. Twelve of the world's top 500 enterprises and 10 foreign businesses attended the conference.
At the conference, investment deals worth 102.4 billion yuan ($14 billion) among 60 projects were inked, involving cooperation with global top-500 companies including Hengli Petrochemical Co., Ltd., industry leaders like Vanguard, and unicorn companies.
Head of Luohu district Fan Defan pointed out that the district is vigorously promoting the development of finance, commerce and trade, business services, and strategic emerging industries. The district will accelerate the building of a modern urban industrial system that is more resilient, dynamic and competitive, Fan added.
Zuo Jinping, deputy head of Luohu, introduced the district's latest supporting policies for businesses. The district provides various kinds of subsidies to enterprises, projects and talents, with some receiving a maximum subsidy of 100 million yuan.
“Luohu will show the utmost sincerity and offer the most favorable policies to attract enterprises to the district and make sure they can develop well here,” Zuo added.
Entrepreneurs said they are confident about the future development of the district because of its location to the north of Hong Kong and its important status in national development strategies such as the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Also, they attribute Luohu's attractiveness partly to its close following of the development trends of industries and technologies so that both its development strategies and pro-business policies accord with the needs of market entities.
