After the Guiyuan sub-district of Luohu was classified as medium risk areas from Aug 29 to Sept 4, the sub-district office immediately opened neighborhood canteens for senior residents.

Hot meals were delivered to the entrance of the buildings where senior citizens lived three times a day so as to minimize the virus control measures' influences on the their lives. 

The senior residents directly communicated with the food providers and chefs in WeChat groups about the meals to meet their needs and tastes. 

The Dongxiao sub-district office also tried its best to provide help to the needy groups. It opened rest stations, which had water, microwave oven, sofa, quilts and some other facilities and materials, for express deliverymen, who assumed important roles in keeping logistics smooth in the locked-down areas.
