The first art fair of Qingshan Village in Lufeng City of Guangdong province has attracted many peddlers, collectors, and buyers of artworks, as well as travelers. 

During the two-day event, artistic shows were also staged, while local farmers sold their agricultural produce and local specialties. 

The fair has proven successful in bringing attention to the otherwise unknown village along with tourists, investment, and tourism revenue. 

The idea came from civil servants from Luohu, who were assigned to help the town as part of its rural revitalization campaign. Luohu also helped Lufeng eliminate its abject rural poverty several years ago during the national poverty alleviation program.
