Livestreaming boosts Shuibei jewelry sales
Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, livestreaming on social networking platforms has helped Luohu's Shuibei jewelry belt transform its marketing model and grow its sales.
The jewelry belt's actual transaction value through livestreaming channels over 12 hours during an online shopping season on Aug. 8 last year hit 850 million yuan ($123 million), demonstrating the vitality of the new form of sales.
To fully tap into the potential of e-commerce, Shuibei, along with its partners, runs eight training bases across the country. More than 1,000 people have received training to become livestreamers. It is estimated that the livestreaming sales have created nearly 1,000 jobs in Shuibei over the past three years.
