Luohu committed to increasing supply of education resources
Luohu has initiated three school and kindergarten construction projects and 12 expansion projects and concluded 11 projects so far this year, according to the Luohu District Government.
The district has also increased the number of seats in public schools by 9,855 so far this year, almost the same number opened during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) Period.
Facing a shortage of land resources, Luohu has comprehensively repositioned the existing land for education purposes and combined its planning with urban renewal and shantytown reconstruction projects.
The government also continues to pay special attention to increasing the supply of land for schools in places where insufficient seats in public schools are provided.
The Luohu Education Bureau has vowed to put an end to oversized classes and schools by 2025 by building new schools and expanding smaller ones.
