New biomedicine institute to be founded in Luohu
The Luohu district government and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) will jointly found a China-Europe institute for innovative medicine and precision health in Luohu according to a strategic cooperation agreement signed on July 28.
Through the institute, the two sides will work together to explore a new paradigm for the integrated development of international biomedicine, health research and industrial advancement.
The two sides will establish win-win cooperation and give full play to Luohu’s geographical advantages as a hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and its strengths in life and health industries, as well as the CAS’s advantages in science and technology research. Together, they will promote the commercialization and industrialization of innovative medicine and precision health technologies, and upgrade the innovation capacity of Luohu’s health sector.
After the institute is built, it will attract talent from China and Europe, establish innovation, transformation, and industrial centers, and become a platform integrating relevant technologies and industries.
The institute is expected to contribute to the technological innovation and industrial agglomeration in the field of health and medicine in Luohu.
