Wutong Mountain Scenic Area

Wutong Mountain Scenic Area is a national scenic spot with an altitude of 943.7 meters. It's located in the eastern part of Shenzhen, spanning the three districts of Luohu, Yantian, and Longgang. In this scenic area, one can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Dapeng Peninsula from a high altitude.

Travel routes:
Metro Line 1 and Line 2: Wutong Mountain South Station, Exit D → Walk 787 meters to the memorial archway at the south gate of Wutong Mountain
Bus M205、M520: Wutong Mountain South Metro Station Bus Station → Walk 900 meters to the memorial archway at the south gate of Wutong Mountain
Bus M211: Wutong Mountain Terminal → About 7 minutes' walk to the memorial archway at the north gate of wutong Mountain

Climbing routes:
1. Wutong Mountain North Gate memorial archway → Wutong Mountain North Road→ Phoenix Terrace → Butterfly Valley
Degree of difficulty: ﹡﹡﹡
Route features: A gentle and wide mountain road, suitable for taking children and the elderly for a walk, but the journey is a bit long.
Route length: about 6.5km

2. Wutong Mountain South Gate memorial archway → Lingyun Road → Little Wutong (Shenzhen TV Tower)
Degree of difficulty: ﹡﹡﹡﹡
The entire journey is steep and perilous, with the altitude rising all the way, and the steepest point has a slope of up to 70 degrees.

3. Wutong Mountain North Gate memorial archway → Mount Tai Stream→ Great Wutong Peak
Degree of difficulty: ﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡
The waterfront trail built along the stream offers scenic views such as ponds and various kins of springs. It is cool and fun, but most of the sections are steep.

Wutong clouds are renowned as one of the eight scenic spots of Shenzhen for its ever-changing and mysterious scenery. Seeing the sea of clouds gives you a feeling of stepping into a fairyland.

Great Wutong Peak, the highest peak in Shenzhen, also known as Pengcheng, is the best scenic spot for tourists to take photos.

The North Gate Memorial Archway resembles a phoenix spreading its wings.
