In accordance with the provision of Article 41 of Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, foreigners who work in China shall obtain work permits and work-type residence permits in accordance with relevant regulations. No entities or individuals shall employ foreigners who have no work permits or work-type residence permits.

Ⅰ. How can I apply forthe Foreigner's Work Permit？

Ⅱ. What materials are required for the application for the work permit?

Please refer to the official website of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, select "辦事指南(Guideline)”-“外國人來華工作許可(Foreigner's Work Permit)" -specific item-"查看材料清單(Refer to the material list).”

Ⅲ. How long is the handling time of the application for the work permit?

The legal processing time is 20 working days, while the promised processing time is 7 working days.

Ⅳ. Can the work permit be processed together with the work residence permit?

Yes. At present, Shenzhen has merged these two services into "Foreigners Employment and Residence Affairs in Shenzhen."
