Shenzhen saw 25 locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 on March 2, the Shenzhen provincial health commission said during a news conference.

All of the cases were found through nucleic acid testing screenings of close contacts of the quarantined, as well as people living in lockdown areas and the key groups.

The new cases were mainly found in Futian, Luohu, Nanshan, Bao’an, and Yantian districts.

The public health officials said that although the overall epidemic remains under control, the situation is not stable and still critical.

They urged districts to continue to implement strict epidemic prevention and control measures and called on the citizens to cooperate with the work.
