Shenzhen expands high-speed rail connectivity
Shenzhen is strengthening its rail network with the introduction of additional high-speed train services, enhancing connectivity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond.
At Shenzhenbei Railway Station, a staggering 992 high-speed train departures are scheduled, including the debut of a direct high-speed sleeper train to Guangyuan, southwest China's Sichuan province. This marks a significant expansion of rail links between the GBA and west China, fostering a two-way exchange of resources and promoting balanced regional development.
Shenzhen Railway Station is set to operate 44 high-speed train services, 167 Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity trains, and 18 conventional-speed trains. Meanwhile, Shenzhendong Railway Station will host 58 conventional-speed train services.
For travelers between Shenzhen and Shanghai, the G644, G643, G997, and G998 trains stop only at key stations, significantly reducing travel time and improving connectivity between these two major economic hubs.
