Boosting high-quality development a priority of Shenzhen
Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong delivered a work report at the annual gathering of the city’s legislature on Feb. 14.
The Shenzhen government work report provides clues as to the city’s development path for the year.
According to the report, the city has set its annual economic growth target at 6% for the year and prioritizes high-quality development.
Focus will be placed on promoting the development of the real economy, innovation, investment, consumption and export. More than 200 billion yuan ($29.24 billion) will be invested in industries this year, up 20% from last year, the report states.
The government also plans to provide another 200 billion yuan of inclusive finance lending to micro and small businesses to boost the confidence in the market.
Meanwhile, the city will actively promote the development of finance, R&D, design, and other modern service industries.
In addition, the city is also going to take concrete actions to protect the environment, preserve its ecology and continuously improve people’s livelihoods.
