Shenzhen Bao’an airport launches cargo air route to Paris
A B777F wide-body cargo plane operated by Central Airlines and Yunexpress Logistics took off from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport on Jan. 16, carrying 78 tons of cargo to Paris, France.
The flight marked the opening of the third international cargo route jointly operated by the two companies in Shenzhen, with a total weekly outbound capacity of over 500 tons.
The route is the second international cargo route established from the airport this year after Qatar Airways launched a new cargo route from Shenzhen to London, fully demonstrating the potential of the airport to attract domestic and foreign airlines.
In recent years, with support from civil aviation authorities and customs, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport has promoted reform and innovation in areas such as customs clearance policy, security policy and process optimization, and business model innovation to enhance efficiency and services.
In 2022, Bao’an airport ranked third in China in terms of total cargo handling volume and first for domestic cargo handling volume, effectively supporting the city’s development. Notably, the airport’s cross-border e-commerce cargo volume saw a 38.2% year-on-year increase, making it a new growth driver for its international cargo business.
