China-Europe freight train an artery connecting GBA and BRI
The Greater-Bay-Area China-Europe freight train has made 244 trips between Shenzhen and Duisburg, Germany, over the past two years, transporting 141,000 metric tons of goods worth 6.5 billion yuan ($919 million) in total over the past two years, according to Shenzhen Customs.
The China-Europe freight train, which covers 13,438 kilometers and passes Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland, has evolved into an artery connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative.
The freight train program provides more than 3,000 enterprises in Shenzhen and nearby cities with reliable and stable international logistics services reaching partners in 38 countries, including Hungary and Italy.
