Shenzhen introduces concrete moves to promote green construction
The Shenzhen municipal government has recently issued a document detailing the moves the city will take to support the green and low-carbon development of the construction industry.
According to the document, the city will promote the application of building information modeling technology and improve the quality of prefabricated buildings.
The constructors of the buildings that are recognized as exemplary prefabricated ones can receive certain subsidies from the government. Subsidies can be as high as 100 yuan ($14.96) per square meter of the area of the structure, and the highest contribution for a single construction project in this regard is 8 million yuan.
The document says that Shenzhen will strengthen the green recycling and utilization of construction waste and promote the development of a batch of enterprises specialized in this field.
Shenzhen will also guide property management enterprises to transform technologies, strengthen scientific management, reduce energy consumption, improve the quality of property management and services to create a safe, civilized and harmonious working and living environment.
