Shenzhen offers preferential rental housing for young talents from Hong Kong and Macao
A preferential rental housing project for young talents from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions working in Shenzhen opened for applications in Vanke Shennan Plaza of Luohu on April 2.
The project is jointly sponsored by the Shenzhen Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Shenzhen Talents Housing Group Co., Ltd., and two other Shenzhen companies.
Each of the first batch of the 20 apartments covers a floor area ranging from 86 square meters to 142 square meters, and the monthly rent ranges from 4,472 yuan ($702) to 7,386 yuan.
Shenzhen has launched 20 rental housing projects for college graduates working in the city since 2014. Within a certain period after graduation, the job hunters can live in the houses for free, where they can also receive employment guidance and services to make it easier for them to adapt to life in Shenzhen.
More than 30,000 college graduates have benefited from the projects, and 75% of them have settled in the city.
The rental housing for young talents from Hong Kong and Macao will also provide the tenants with employment guidance to make it easier for them to work and live in the city.
