On Sunday, the National Biomanufacturing Industry Innovation Center, led by the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and involving leading industry enterprises, commenced construction in Shenzhen. This marks the establishment of the first national-level industrial innovation platform in China's biomanufacturing field, officially landing in Shenzhen. The center will serve major national strategies, strengthen collaborative efforts on key generic technologies, build an ecosystem for industrial collaborative innovation, and support the creation of a highland for biomanufacturing industry innovation.

The center will focus on the pilot and scale-up stages of biomanufacturing, exploring a shift from the traditional linear transformation model from laboratory to enterprise to a nonlinear interactive model, promoting the high-quality development of China's biomanufacturing industry.
