Shenzhen and Vienna establish sister city relationship
On May 24, Shenzhen and Vienna signed an agreement to establish a sister city relationship. Vienna, the capital and largest city of Austria, is renowned as a major cultural center in Europe and the World's Music Capital. This partnership aims to foster collaboration in areas such as investment, trade, life sciences, healthcare, environmental protection, startups, sustainable urban development (smart cities), new energy, digital industries, and creative industries.
Shenzhen, a key window showcasing China's reform and opening-up achievements, has been actively expanding its international relations. The city has formed 94 sister city partnerships with regions in 59 countries across five continents, enhancing its global network.
