A Shenzhen-Hong Kong youth Muay Thai friendly match was held at Luohu Stadium in Shenzhen on July 22.
A total of 28 boxers aged between 16 and 48 from Shenzhen and Hong Kong took part in the contest, attracting around 2,000 spectators.
The event was to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the founding of Xinan county, a jurisdiction founded during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) in the current region of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, as well as the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland.
The match is part of Luohu Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month, which aims to promote cultural exchanges and understanding between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
