Bridge promotes Hong Kong’s integration into national development
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is playing an increasingly important role in integrating Hong Kong into the national development pattern thanks to the implementation of a series of policies promoting exchanges across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the optimization of customs clearance policies.
According to data from the Bridge Customs of Zhuhai, agricultural produce exported to Hong Kong via the bridge over the first half of this year has increased by more than 50% compared to the same period last year.
The Bridge Port in Zhuhai has become the main departure port for supplies related to the Hong Kong people's livelihoods on the west bank of the Pearl River. In close cooperation with the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, the Bridge’s customs will also support local governments to carry out declarations at designated ports for the entry of food and agricultural products.
