Luohu and Hong Kong agreed to advance integrated development
Luohu held two back-to-back business and investment promotion fairs in Hong Kong on April 12 and 13.
Xia Dong, deputy head of Luohu, introduced the district’s business environment and some of its key projects related to the Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development to several representatives of Hong Kong’s business community taking part in the two activities.
In his speech, Xia highlighted Luohu’s strengths as an ideal investment destination for Hong Kong enterprises, hinging upon its closeness to Hong Kong, the conveniences it can provide for business people, its well-preserved ecology and natural environment, its complementarity with Hong Kong in commerce and industry, and the high efficiency with which it can deliver positive results for investors.
Xia also dedicated a considerable part of his speech to introducing Luohu’s supporting policies for businesses, which consist of funding support for certain strategic emerging industries and projects.
In particular, according to Xia, Luohu is planning to create an industry space spanning more than 300,000 sq. m. and will co-develop the space with Hong Kong and implement special regulatory policies.
After the two fairs, Luohu and Hong Kong agreed to form a mechanism of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits to advance Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development. The two sides also agreed to promote the free flow of capital, data, talent, information and equipment between them and strengthen their coordination in industrial policy-making to pave the way for closer cooperation in industries and innovation.
The Hong Kong attendees spoke highly of the commitments Luohu has demonstrated to promoting the common development of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, as well as the district’s unique strengths in location, financing and policy, among other areas.
