The 2023 Shenzhen Fashion Report Release and Case Study Ceremony was held recently in Shenzhen’s Luohu district.
Two reports, namely the 2023 Report on Fashion in Shenzhen and the 2023 Report on Communication of Fashion in Shenzhen, were released.
According to the 2023 Report on Fashion in Shenzhen, the city has developed the highest concentration of original brands, the most comprehensive industrial support, and the most significant convergence effect in China, giving it a solid foundation for building itself into a global fashion city.
The report says that Shenzhen should further integrate the fashion industry with culture, tourism, sports, and exhibitions, among other areas, integrate fashion elements into the whole process of urban production and life, and expand the scale of the fashion economy.
The second report points out that the intensity of fashion communication in Shenzhen is on the rise. In order to tell the Shenzhen fashion story well, the report suggests strengthening government guidance, build a fashion communication matrix of "mainstream media + professional media + emerging media," and increasing the depth and breadth of communication content.
By virtue of high-quality industrial development, Luohu district aims to build itself into a core area of Shenzhen, which is building itself into an international consumption center, a pilot area of Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development, and a demonstration area of modern service industry clusters.
The district is also trying to improve its fashion industry’s business environment and boost fashion consumption so as to make its due contribution to Shenzhen’s development as a fashion city.
