A new aerial cargo transport route connecting Shenzhen and Bangalore in India recently opened, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport announced on Aug 4.
The Bangalore connection is the fifth international cargo transport route Shenzhen airport has opened so far this year. The other four routes connect with Hanoi, Doha, Leipzig, and New York. Now more than 370 cargo transport flights shuttle between Shenzhen and 34 cities overseas each week.
Located in the south of India, Bangalore is a city with a large population and is known as the "Silicon Valley of India." With the freight transport route in place, Shenzhen enterprises can use Bangalore as an important station for their export products to enter the Indian and South Asian markets and further economic and trade exchanges between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and South Asia.
By the end of July, Shenzhen airport's international and regional cargo and mail throughput reached 443,000 tons, up 21.6% year on year, effectively guaranteeing the security and stability of Shenzhen's industrial and supply chains.
