Luohu Party chief inspects frontline epidemic prevention and control work

Luo also inspected whether relevant epidemic prevention and control measures were being strictly undertaken.
They visited Changling village, Dongfang Zunyu residential community, Luohu public security bureau and the Zhuyuan Hotel to inspect the management of the city’s villages, key groups of people in the epidemic prevention and control work and community health centers.
Luo presented some festival gifts to those sticking to their posts. During the festival holiday June 12-14, community workers, medical workers, policemen and policewomen, civil servants and volunteers were still manning the virus frontline.
In the Changling village, Luo carefully listened to reports on the basic information of the the city village, and stressed that the management of city villages was is a key and difficult part of community-based epidemic prevention and control work.
He instructed the medical workers, civil servants and volunteers to strictly carry out relevant measures, and ensure all people entering and leaving the villages should register and have their temperature measured.
At the Luohu public security bureau, Luo listened to reports on its work models and special deployment on epidemic prevention and control, and urged the police to implement the deployments of the higher authorities, faithfully fulfill their duties and do everything possible to ensure stability.
In a community health center, Luo learnt about the epidemic prevention and control measures and duty schedules in detail, and emphasized that medical workers and the community workers must be on full alert to the risks of any resurgence of both imported and locally transmitted cases, strengthen screening of the people, taking their temperature and registering their identity information, and provide necessary psychological counseling to the people being quarantined.
He pointed out that the logistics support work must be done in a thoughtful way to let quarantined people feel their welfare was important.
Luo said the frontline fighters were defending people’s health, lives and security and demonstrating the lofty professional ethics and fearless spirit of utter devotion.
He instructed the people concerned to pay close attention to heatstroke prevention, and encouraged them to continue to do the epidemic prevention and control work well, and never slack their vigilance.
He said the frontline medical workers, civil servants, community workers and volunteers should always put the people’s health first, and carry out an accountability system and always focus on the practical effects of their work.
He urged all relevant departments to give full support to the epidemic prevention and control work, and guarantee sufficient medical supplies be provided and ensure the safety of the frontline staff so as to ensure final victory of the war against the virus.
