On June 4, the launch ceremony for the Luohu District Preliminary and Future Industry Competition of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (SIEC) (hereinafter referred to as the Luohu Preliminary) was held in Luohu district, Shenzhen.
"Luohu is striving to enhance its strength in technological innovation, competitiveness in the industrial system, and collaborative capacity in regional development. We are focusing on key areas such as software and information services, and comprehensive health care services, aiming to create new engines for strategic and emerging as well as future industries," said Feng Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Luohu District Party Committee and deputy head of the Luohu District People's Government. She added that Luohu is home to nearly 1,000 strategic and emerging enterprises, laying a solid foundation for fostering new quality productive forces through technological innovation.
The SIEC serves as an important platform for transforming scientific and technological achievements and enhancing innovation capabilities. It not only provides a showcase but also acts as a bridge linking investment institutions, tech companies, government departments, and entrepreneurs. Luohu will continue to improve its sci-tech innovation services and ecosystem, welcoming participating projects to settle in the district.
The Luohu Preliminary has appointed seven seasoned investment experts as competition mentors, who will offer professional guidance and support to the participating enterprises.
Since 2017, Luohu has hosted the Luohu Preliminary for seven consecutive years, attracting a total of 2,604 projects. The event has brought together numerous investment institutions and technological experts, assisting 193 projects.
