Luohu recently dispatched a delegation of 200 representatives from thelocal gold and jewelry industry to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to bolster trade and exchangesin the sector.
The delegation was organized by the Shenzhen international jewelry comprehensive transaction platform and the Jewelry Museum of Shenzhen, led by the Shenzhen Gold & Jewelry Association and guided by the Shenzhen Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Shenzhen Bureau of Commerce, and the Luohu district government.
The delegation held a meeting of exchanges in Bangkok on Feb. 22 to introduce the development of Luohu’s gold and jewelry industry and the Shenzhen international jewelry comprehensive transaction platform.
As part of the visit to Thailand, representatives from the Jewelry Museum of Shenzhen will communicate with their Thai partners about the potential of leveraging public service platforms, such as museums, to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation. Under the plan, Shenzhen museums would showcase Thai jewelry, while Thai museums would exhibit Chinese jewelry, particularly those from Luohu.
The Shenzhen Gold & Jewelry Association will also strengthen communication with their Thai counterparts to create more channels for industrial collaboration between the two sides. Bangkok and Luohu are both regional gold and jewelry industrial centers.
Thevisit takes place amid the five-day Thai Gem and Jewelry Exhibition, runningfrom Feb. 22 to 26 in Bangkok.
