Luohu promotes high-quality tourism development
According to its biweekly news brief held on Dec. 15, Luohu will release
the first action plan among all districts in Shenzhen to promote
high-quality development of its tourism industry from 2023 to 2025. It
has published the supporting measures that it will carry out to fulfill
the relevant plans.
The measures include providing subsidies totaling
as much as 1 million yuan ($143,600) to attract prestigious tourism
enterprises, as well as subsidies totaling 10 million yuan for investing
in developing tourism industrial parks in Luohu.
Luohu aims to take
full advantage of its geographic location to become a cluster zone for
quality tourism enterprises. It also looks to become a tourist
distribution center and a tourist destination for the Guangdong-Hong
Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The district will actively build itself
into a tourism product, innovation, and exhibition center, support local
tourism enterprises to upgrade their ratings and rankings in the
industry, encourage the development of local characteristic tourism
products and routes, promote the growth of jewelry tourism, and develop
supporting facilities and services.
At present, there are more
than 470 travel agencies in Luohu, accounting for nearly 40% of
Shenzhen’s total, among which 135 can handle overseas travel businesses,
or nearly 60% of the city’s total.
Among the top 30 tourism agencies in Shenzhen, 19 are from Luohu.
