Academician lectures promotes science exchanges in Greater Bay Area
Lectures under the Greater Bay Science Forum were recently held in Nansha of Guangzhou and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Bai Chunli, a chemist and an academic at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shing-Tung Yau, a Chinese American mathematician and foreign academician at the CAS, and Yao Qizhi, an expert in computer science and academic at the CAS, delivered lectures in their respective fields, and communicated with young scientists from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao..
More than 300 college students and scientists attended the two places, and nearly 3,000 people watched the lectures online.
The activity aims to promote science and technology talent exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and stimulate young people's interest and enthusiasm in scientific research.
