Shenzhen docks its professional qualification system with world
The Shenzhen bureau of human resources and social security has recently released a catalogue listing the international professional qualifications that it recognizes as feasible for their holders to apply for certain professional titles in Shenzhen.
The move marks an important step for the city to take a lead in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to integrate domestic professional qualification and title system with international ones, which will be conducive to it attracting international talents.
The catalogue, which will presumably be updated according to the city’s practical needs in the future, consists of 25 international professional qualifications that are concentrate in the fields of engineering technology, involving green building, artificial intelligence, survey and design, and cover the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, Macao and other countries and regions.
Early this year, Shenzhen gave a green light to professionals holding 20 kinds of international vocational qualifications in six fields, including construction, medical care, taxation and shipping, to practice in the city. So far more than 400 international professionals practice in Shenzhen.
