Shenzhen-HongKong Culture Month sparks cross-border engagement in Luohu
From July 11 to Aug. 11, 2024, the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month (Luohu)" celebrated the theme "Hong Kong Classic Visual and Audio Art" with over 60 cultural and tourism events. Spanning film, music, sports, arts, food, and talent exchanges, the event offered a rich blend of visual, interactive, and culinary experiences for residents of both Luohu and Hong Kong.
During this period, the three major ports in Luohu recorded 8.37 million border crossings, a 12.05% increase from the previous month, representing 47.49% of all Shenzhen-Hong Kong crossings. Of these, 6.52 million were Hong Kong residents, reflecting a 4.53% month-on-month growth. The average daily crossings reached 261,600, with 203,800 being Hong Kong residents.
From Aug. 2 to 4, the Trendy Art Fair attracted around 30,000 visitors to the Shenzhen Teemall shopping district.
A highlight of the culture month was the "A Bite of Luohu" specialty dining competition, which once again led culinary consumption trends between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The competition saw 93 shortlisted businesses receive a total of 2,291,435 votes during the public voting phase.
