The 2023 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) was held in Guangzhou on Nov. 8. The event brought together representatives from Top 500 list companies, professional institutions, and business associations from dozens of countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.

The conference attracted a total of 859 investment and trade projects with a combined value of 2.24 trillion yuan (approximately 307.3 billion U.S. dollars), encompassing high-level manufacturing sectors such as next-generation electronic information, new energy, new materials, green petrochemicals, and artificial intelligence. These projects demonstrated the GBA’s strong appeal as a global investment hub and will help accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system and achieve high-quality development in this area.

Furthermore, the conference hosted the 2023 Guangdong-North America Clean Technology Industry Matchmaking Conference, highlighting the development of and cooperation around clean energy.
