Guangdong boasts 7 characteristic SME industry clusters
According to the recently released "List of Characteristic Industry Clusters for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in 2023" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong province boasts a total of seven characteristic industry clusters. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Zhaoqing each have two clusters, while Foshan has one. These clusters encompass a wide range of industries, including new energy and intelligently connected vehicles, robot manufacturing, new display devices, high-end intelligent in-vehicle equipment, cosmetics, lighting and audio, and hardware.
The selected Sihui New Energy Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Cluster, situated in the Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, has recently attracted prominent enterprises like Xiaopeng Motors and Ruiqing Times, a subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL). Within a span of three years, its output value has surged from 30 billion yuan to 70 billion yuan, demonstrating an over-50% growth rate for two consecutive years.
The hardware industry cluster in Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing City, is leveraging the development of the automotive parts industry to transform towards high-end, intelligent, and green-oriented production, continuously enhancing product-added value.
Furthermore, the high-end intelligent in-vehicle equipment industry cluster in Shenzhen's Longgang District has achieved a leading position in the domestic market in both imports and exports, while over half of the companies within the cluster have established long-term partnerships with leading domestic and international automobile manufacturers.
As a renowned cluster for the lighting and audio industry, Panyu District in Guangzhou has gathered 600 industry enterprises, including over 110 core companies..
The selected cosmetics industry cluster in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, is undergoing a full-chain transformation, embarking on a path of high-quality development that integrates production, sales, research and development, and exhibition trade.
The robot manufacturing industry cluster in Shunde District, Foshan, has become a crucial hub in the domestic robot industry and a highland for robot manufacturing and system integration solutions in south China.
Additionally, the new display device industry cluster in Longhua District, Shenzhen, has formed a well-integrated ecosystem.
