Integrated development of the Greater Bay Area boosted
The 24-kilometer Shenzhen-Zhongshan link was finally completed on June 11, which, after being put into use, will enable commuters to shuttle between the two cities within 30 minutes.
The link is another key infrastructure that, after the 55-km Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, connects the two banks across the Pearl River.
These infrastructure projects, along with others, have greatly promoted the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), which has the world’s largest port cluster, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Dongguan. A total of more than 80 million standard containers depart from these ports. Improved customs clearance efficiency has also facilitated the process.
The Guangdong, Hong Kong, & Macao Arbitration & Mediation Alliance is an arbitration and mediation cooperation platform founded in 2013 in Shenzhen’s Qianhai under the lead of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. The alliance is popular among domestic and foreign enterprises to settle disputes thanks to its high efficiency.
Moreover, a slew of supportive policies and allowances have been introduced to help talents from Hong Kong and Macao start their own businesses in the GBA cities.
