New policy to promote integrated development of Greater Bay Area
A new regulation on Hong Kong automobiles entering the Chinese mainland through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was published on May 1.
According to the policy, owners of Hong Kong automobiles can apply for an entry pass starting from June 1, and after successful booking on the Hong Kong side, automobiles carrying the pass can enter the mainland via the bridge directly from July 1.
It is estimated that about 450,000 Hong Kongers will benefit from the new policy, which aims to promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
