Pilot project launched to integrate tax services in Greater Bay Area
The Guangdong provincial bureau of tax and Shenzhen municipal bureau of tax jointly held a ceremony on Feb. 24 to launch a pilot project to integrate tax services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Apart from Shenzhen, the project is also being launched in Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Huizhou in Guangdong, with the help of artificial intelligence, internet and manual remote tutoring, marking that region is making a big stride forward in overcoming hindrances to unifying regional tax services.
Guo Xiaolin, chief of the Shenzhen municipal bureau of tax, said that the project is a powerful move to serve the development of the Greater Bay Area, a cooperation between tax authorities, and a necessary move to serve taxpayers and fee payers.
Guo pointed out that the project will effectively promote the deep integration of tax and fee services in the Greater Bay Area and boost the integrated development of the region.
Wang Xuedong, chief of the Guangdong provincial bureau of tax, said that the project will be rolled out in more places in Guangdong, and more actions will be taken to further deepen the cooperation mechanism of tax administration services between the provincial authorities and Shenzhen, constantly expand service functions, unify tax law enforcement standards and management and service norms, and promote the implementation of relevant tax policies and services measures.
