Greater Bay Area regains vitality with lifting of travel restrictions
A total of 83,000 people passed through all land ports between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region over the first 12 hours of Feb. 6.
According to authorities, starting from Feb. 6, travelers no longer need to apply before passing through land boundary control points linking the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macao. In addition, the cap on the number of travelers passing through has been lifted.
The resumption of cross-boundary travel has not only brought joy to reunited families but has also accelerated the flow of goods, capital, data, information and other factors across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
