Guangdong delegates discuss the report to the 20th CPC National Congress
On the afternoon of Oct. 16, delegates from south China's Guangdong province attending the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a group discussion in Beijing on the report delivered at the event's opening on the same day.
Li Xi, secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC, urged Guangdong to seize the historical opportunities provided by the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Shenzhen pilot demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and major platforms such as Hengqin, Qianhai and Nansha, and strive to achieve high-quality development.
Guangdong Governor Wang Weizhong pointed out that Guangdong should translate the requirements of the report into concrete measures to promote reform and development in the province, and Guangdong should effectively coordinate epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development.
