Luohu Party chief stresses importance of balancing development and security
Luohu Party chief Liu Sheng paid an inspection tour to some neighborhoods, shopping malls, and enterprises in the district on Jan. 1 to examine their epidemic prevention and control work and work safety conditions.
Other senior officials of the district, including Zuo Jinping, Lai Jianhua, Chen Leifeng, and Zhan Hui, also took part in the inspection tour.
The officials inquired about the enterprises’ operation conditions and practical difficulties.
During the inspection tour, Liu said Luohu should balance development and security, and that all relevant government departments should try their best to safeguard the life, property, and safety of the people.
In terms of epidemic prevention and control and work safety, Liu called for unrelenting efforts to prevent and control the epidemic during the holidays, earnestly implementing the accountability system for work safety, implementing all prevention and control measures in a strict manner, and making every effort to create a safe and assured consumption environment for the public.
Liu said: “We should always keep work safety in mind, strengthen the daily safety training and safety inspection of the staff, and strictly prevent the occurrence of work safety accidents.”
After communicating with representatives of relevant enterprises, Liu pointed out that over the next five years, Luohu will continue to give full play to industry’s role in leading its efforts of economic restructuring, improving services, and pursuing high-quality development in the process of building a pioneering urban area of socialist modernization and sustainable development.
Liu hopes that enterprises in Luohu can continuously enhance their innovative power and competitiveness and make their due contribution to promoting Luohu’s high-quality development.
Liu stressed that Luohu always attaches great importance to enterprise development and is committed to building an optimal business environment.
He added that relevant government departments should make greater efforts to optimize the business environment, target the most urgent difficulties and problems of enterprises, continue to reduce their costs, expand industrial space, optimize government services, and enhance the confidence of enterprises in the development of Luohu.
He noted that the relevant government departments should take the initiative to serve enterprises, timely understand and treat their “pain points” and remove the obstacles in their development, and ensure that the demands of enterprises can be quickly responded to so as to help enterprises become bigger and stronger in Luohu.
