Officials confident in building Luohu into an all-embracing hub
Luohu held a district congress of Communist Party of China members on Jan. 14.
Luohu Party chief Luo Yude delivered his work report that was praised by all participants, who said it served to consolidate people's confidence in the district's future.
The report laid out the blueprint for building Luohu into an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Feng Jian, deputy head of the Luohu government and director of the Guiyuan sub-district office, said: "The objective is based on Luohu's position neighboring Hong Kong, as well as its historical mission of becoming a pioneer in the construction of a demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics.”
Qiu Zhi, director of the Huangbei sub-district office, said: "The work report not only shows the achievements Luohu has made over the past five years, but also stresses we should adopt a more inclusive development paradigm from now on."
Yuan Liang, director of the Cuizhu sub-district office, says their main task is to promote the upgrading of its gold & jewelry industry and move it up the value chain.

Chen Mingwei, director of the Nanhu sub-district office, said: "Nanhui will promote the Yucun model in grassroots governance allowing the people have stronger sense of gains and happiness."
Quan Hongliang, director of the Sungang sub-district office, said: "The report's review on past work is factual, the target it sets is high and the path set is clear. It is a report reflecting the people's voice. Sungang will promote industrial upgrading through urban renovation projects."
Cheng Shiju, director of Donghu sub-district office, said: "Donghu will work hard to improve grassroots governance, accelerate urban renovation and protect its natural environment."
Ye Aiquan, director of Liantang sub-district office, said: "The core of the Greater Bay Area hub is the port. Liantang will build the port economy belt, particularly the Liantang-Xiangyuanwei port zone, and promote integrated development between Shenzhen and Hong Kong."
Ye added that Liantang will build youth innovation base, foster youth exchanges among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and accelerate the cooperation of Shenzhen and Hong Kong in science and technology.
Xiao Jiarui, director of the Dongxiao sub-district office, said: "Dongxiao will pay special attention to improving people's livelihoods and city quality, with the Party taking deeper root in the community."
Wei Gang, director of the Qingshuihe sub-district office, said: "The work report offers the people a beautiful vision. The key projects of Qingshuihe include Bijiashan River environmental modification, Luohu North High-Speed Railway Station construction. We have the confidence to overcome all difficulties."
