Luohu urged to pursue high-quality development along charted course
Fan Defan, deputy secretary of the CPC Luohu District Committee and deputy district mayor of the Luohu District People’s Government, attended discussions for the third and eighth groups of deputies to the 8th congress of the Luohu District Communist Party of China on Oct. 19.
The discussions were opportunities for deputies to share their views regarding Luohu’s development over the past few years, and to offer suggestions for future development plans.
They said the report Luohu Party Chief Liu Sheng delivered during the 8th Luohu Party congress is ambitious, pragmatic and richly detailed. Likewise, it summarizes Luhou’s breakthrough achievements over the past five years and outlines an inspiring blueprint for the next five years.
The deputies said that the report has not only embodied the reality of Luohu but also reflected the expectations of its citizens.
Meanwhile, Fan pointed out that this year marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), highlighting the significance of the report, which can be a source of strength and inspiration moving forward.
He said that not only has the report honestly identified Luohu’s shortcomings but also offered a clear plan for the region’s future development.
Luohu will begin its journey of fostering a comprehensive, modern socialist society, making the next five years an integral period to realize its transformative growth, implement new ideas and construct a new development paradigm.
Fan also noted that the report has accounted for all of the requirements for Luohu’s development over the next five years.
According to the report, the district should strengthen its positions as transportation, communication and consumption hubs, and make efforts to boost Luohu’s development to a new level.
He called on all government departments to implement the guidelines of the congress, and play their part in promoting high-quality development across the district.
