The 2025 “Embrace Kindness, Youth!” charity initiative and the launch ceremony for the Luohu Charitable Trust were held on May 27 at Shenzhen Shuiku Primary School, marking a significant milestone in the district’s philanthropic journey.
Launched in March 2024, the “Embrace Kindness, Youth!” program aims to weave the values of kindness, compassion, and social responsibility into school education. With a focus on understanding, practicing, and advocating kindness, the program has engaged more than 24,000 students across 28 schools，hosting over 120 immersive and hands-on activities.
This offers a vivid example of how Luohu is advancing high-quality development in public welfare while nurturing a new generation of socially conscious youth.
A key highlight of the event was the official establishment of the “China Resources Trust · Bank of Communications U Future · Embrace Kindness Youth Charitable Trust.” As the first charitable trust officially registered in Luohu, it represents an innovative step in fusing philanthropy with financial services.
Initiated by the Shenzhen Branch of the Bank of Communications, the trust embraces the concept of “wealth for good.” The bank actively engaged its clients to support the initiative, successfully raising an initial donation of 215,600 yuan (approximately $30,000).
