Qingshuihe a future growth driver of digital economy and emerging industries
The Luohu district government introduced its vision of the Qingshuihe headquarters new city that is under construction at a biweekly news conference held on July 18.
The Qingshuihe headquarters new city is earmarked to be developed into a new driver of the digital economy and a major engine for emerging industries.
The project covers an area of 3.5 square kilometers, three times the size of the Shenzhen Bay super headquarters base. Investment in fixed assets in Sungang-Qingshuihe key area increased from 1.72 billion yuan ($238.3 million) in 2014 to 13.85 billion yuan in 2022, with an annual growth rate of 29.8%.
The area used to be a major warehouse zone and a base for transit trade in Shenzhen.
